Camping trip

Our church went camping this week about 45 minutes from our house on the shore of Lake Conroe. It is really pretty and the weather is mild for Texas. Mark and Matthew camped two nights, Lily camped with them one night. Laura, granny, Annie and I were mere daycampers (I was not about to nurse a baby lying on a blow up mattress). They had a blast to say the least. Good friends, open air, lots of food, camp fire sing songs, trees, scooters, a beach and boats.

Laura's Birthday Party

We had a little birthday party for Laura last night. Granny made a cake which Lily and I decorated. We decorated the table and lined up all her presents. At first she didn't realise it was all for her, but after she had opened a few presents it seemed to click - this was all about Laura. She was adorable with her excitment at opening all her gifts. She even got to talk to Gangy and Nana on the phone, they called from Tulsa just after we had finished present opening! Laura may be the 3rd child, but she is not over looked.

Let's practice blowing out those candles!

Trying on her new sun glasses.
